My name is Adrian Mendoza. I was born on December 2, 1989 in the city of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico.
I started to study trumpet under the direction of my grandfather Martho Juarez when I was 7 years old. When I turned 8 my parents decided to make me study music formally at the CEM (Center of Musical Studies). I studied at this school for my whole childhood, until I was 18 years old. When I was 18 years old I went to my first conference of Mariachi in the city of Albuquerque, NM, when for the first time I saw the Mariachi Sol de Mexico of maestro Jose Hernandez. My excitement was so big that when I returned to Chihuahua I started to work in my family’s mariachi with my grandfather and one of my uncles, both of them trumpet players. While I played in the mariachi, I studied at the Music Conservatory of the State of Chihuahua. But, I only attended for 1 year since after that I decided to register for the Bachelors of Arts at the University Autonoma of Chihuahua.
In August 2013, I received the great opportunity by maestro José Hernández to be part of Mariachi Sol de Mexico, making my biggest dream come true: be part of one of the best mariachis in the world.
