Trompeta

I was born December 8, 1985, in a town in Jalisco, called Tecalitlán. I started to play Mexican music when I was 8 years old. It all started as a game for my cousins, brothers and me, but as time went by, that game evolved to be a children’s mariachi: Children’s Mariachi Tecalitense.

A few years went by and my dad founded the Mariachi Teca de Tecalitlán. Four years later, I received a great opportunity to be part of the Mariachi los Potrillos de Jalisco of maestro Crescencio Hernandez, in the city of Guadalajara for two and a half years. I then returned to Tecalitlán, my birth city, and which is where they invited me to be part of the Mariachi Reyes de Jalisco. I was part of the group for a few months but then decided to go back to Guadalajara, where I received another invitation to be part of the Mariachi Juvenil Mi Mexico.

A few months later I decided to migrate to the United States. Upon my arrival, I got an invitation to be part of Mariachi Dorados de Villa, the group that I was part of for around two years. Thank God, at age 20, I received the great opportunity to be part of one of the best mariachis in the world, Mariachi Sol de Mexico of maestro José Hernández.

For me it is a great satisfaction to be able to be part of this great institution. It’s my dream come true. Since I was little I yearned to be part of one of the best mariachis of the world and I feel very happy to be able to share moments of my life with all of the members of Sol de Mexico, that aside from being great musicians, they are very good friends. I give thanks to my parents for including me in the art of MEXICAN MUSIC!
